  1. At the 1960 U.S. Open, Arnie made one

  4. U.S. Open play four rounds of 18 holes
  5. each, one round each day. Arnie was
  6. seven shots behind leader Mike
  7. Souchak going into the final round. But
  8. then, with his army of fans behind him,
  9. Arnie began one of his famous charges.
  10. He made six birdies over the first seven
  11. holes. (Par is the number of shots a
  12. hole is expected to played in. A birdie is
  13. a score of one under par. ) Arnie went
  14. on to shoot an amazingly low score of
  15. 65 for the round and won the title.
